I already know what you’re going to say. You didn’t want cheeky but you also didn’t mean full on shorts.

Here’s the thing, you can get briefs at any department store and I’m really not trying to be out here designing mass produced vibes, k?

To give you coverage, I drew inspiration from retro 1930s and 40s bikini bottoms. If I’m going to give you coverage, I’m also going to give you timeless. I am not going for diaper.

Thank you for being patient with this non cheeky release. I knew so many people were going to be mad at me for not having more coverage in drop 1, but I was honestly having a lot of trouble with the pattern for the Sand Dollar Surf Short (thighs were pinching, crotches were twisting) and didn’t want to hold back the entire collection from releasing in time for summer. So I dropped drop 1, dealt with the criticism, and continued silently working on these bottoms in the background.

I am so happy with how these turned out. A balanced mix of sporty and elegant…and definitely anti cheeky and anti dept store aesthetic!

This surf short comes in xxs to 3x and I’m wearing the S! @popflexactive just posted a full try on with 9 girls representing the entire size range so hop over there if you want to see this design on more bodies!
