R-Truth teamed up with Matt Hardy against Dolph Ziggler and Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre in April 2010. During the match, the ref was distracted, Drew hit Matt in the head and the ref stopped the match. Drew attacked Matt after and told him it’s the last time he wants to see him. Next week, Matt had an interview but Drew attacked him and hit him with a future shock DDT. A week later, Matt called out Drew. He came out. They started brawling until the officials stopped them, but Drew still attacked Matt. Continued his assault outside, he was held back but still hit Matt with a knee. Teddy Long told him he is suspended, but he still attacked Matt. Then Teddy stripped him off the title. But Drew still attacked Matt. Then Teddy told him he’s fired. Drew grabbed Teddy, then hit Matt again. And he was escorted. Then Teddy announced a tournament for the title. Kofi Kingston beat Ziggler and Christian beat Cody Rhodes. A week later, Kofi met Christian in the final. At the end, Christian tried to roll Kofi over but both got up and Kofi hit Christian with a trouble in paradise to pin him and win the match. He was offered the title, but Drew appeared. Gave an envelope to Teddy. Which said that Vince reinstated Drew and he was still the champion.
